----Nasset, Marjorie “Jean” (Peterson) (March 10, 1926 - April 26, 2009)

Marjorie "Jean" Nasset, 83, of Eau Claire, went to be with her Lord on April 26, 2009, at Syverson Lutheran Home.

Jean was born in Eau Claire on March 10, 1926, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Hangartner) Peterson. She married Dale Nasset on July 19, 1947 in Eau Claire. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Jean is survived by her son, Bradley (Joan) Nasset of Medford; her daughter, Vicki (Allen) Holmstrom of Eau Claire; three granddaughters, Tamara Keller of River Falls, Haley (Todd) Hennlich of New Richmond and Katie Holmstrom of Eau Claire; four great-grandchildren, Tucker, Laney and Shelby Hennlich and Kelsey Nasset (daughter of Tamara); and sister-in-law, Marlene Nasset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in November 2008; her parents; a brother-in-law, David Nasset; and Peter Keller (husband of Tamara).

During the past several months she often said how blessed she was to be cared for by the oncology team and pastoral care staff at Sacred Heart Hospital. She had special love for the truly wonderful staff at the Syverson Lutheran Home, who quickly became her "extended family."

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. The sermon will be delivered by Pastor Debra Boynton of the Syverson Lutheran Home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home of Eau Claire assisted the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Syverson Lutheran Home, 816 Porter Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701.
