----Holtz, Winifred (13 July 1912 – 20 Oct. 1998)

The former Winifred Bergman was born on July 13, 1912 in Eau Claire, the daughter of William and Amanda (King) Bergman. On June 11, 1938 she married Roger B. Holtz in Chippewa Falls. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1967. She was a 1934 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She taught English on the high school and college level. Winifred had served as a substitute teacher at Watertown High School for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and PALS. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge.

She is survived by two daughters: Roxanne (Tom) Frizzell of Bayfield and Pamela (Tom) Radle of Foster City, Calif.; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald.
