Marjorie E. Solie, age 75, of Eau Claire died Friday, May 22, 1998 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Marjorie was born on March 20, 1923 in Miltonvale, Kansas to the late Emery and Neva (Geist) Francis. She married Eugene Solie on December 3, 1974 in Stillwater, Minnesota. Marge was a very beautiful and special wife and companion, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband Eugene; son Michael (Christine) Sipe of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter Margo Wilde of Menomonie; stepsons, James and William Solie of Eau Claire, stepdaughters, Patricia (David) Lassek of Red Wing, MN, Kathy (Gary) Kressin of Eau Claire, Julie (Ray) Warner of Eau Claire; grandchildren Skeeter, Sandy, Sonya and Tony; 4 great grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Francis of Silver Lake, Kansas, Dean Francis of Ames, Kansas and Max Francis of Stillwater, Minnesota; sisters Betty Rhodes and Phyllis Jackson, both of Clinton, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 1998 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona with the Father Norbert Wilger officiating. Visitation Monday 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Prock-Beede Funeral Home with a vigil at 7:30 p.m.. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery. Prock-Beede Funeral Home is serving the family.
