Saturday looked more like the beginning of winter that
the last of February.
D.H. Rhines loaded two cars of hay last week while the
sleighing was good.
Martin Hass of Neillsville is helping Geo. Trimberger
gather up his 8 acres of pole wood he had recently cut by a couple of parties
from Granton, which makes quite a difference in his wood lot.
Will O’Brien and Krath Parrett were hauling bolts to
Granton last week.
Dr. Milby of Marshfield in consultation with Dr. Ross of
Granton was called to the home of Geo. Wilson Thursday.
Mrs. Wilson was taken suddenly and seriously ill and the doctors decided
to take her to the hospital at Marshfield on the midnight train that night.
At present she is getting along nicely.
Miss Elsie Lastofka is keeping house for Geo. Wilson in
the absence of Mrs. Wilson.
Mrs. C.E. Reed visited with Mrs. Geo. Wilson at the
Marshfield hospital Saturday.
Mr. R.R. Wilson of Plymouth visited with his son Geo.
Saturday and Sunday.
Mrs. O. Northup is on the sick list at this writing.
W.K. Graves is so as to be about and do his own chores
again.
Miss Ethel Balfanz, daughter of Chas. Balfanz was taken
suddenly ill Monday night and was removed to the Marshfield hospital Wed.
morning.
Mrs. Geo. Balfanz of Christie is staying at the home of Chas. Balfanz while Mrs. Chas. Balfanz is at the hospital with her daughter Ethel.
