Henke, Anna Baldeschwiler (02 DEC 1897 – 08 JUL 1987)


Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 1987 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, for Anna (Baldeschwiler) Henke, 89, Thorp, who died Wednesday, July 8, 1987 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

The Rev. John Puerner officiated and burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Thorp. Pallbearers were grandsons.

She was born December 2, 1897 in Thorp, to Nicholas and Mary Baldeschwiler. She taught school in the Thorp area prior to her marriage.

She was married to Emil Henke June 22, 1920 at St. Bernard's Church. She lived and farmed in the Thorp area all her life.

Surviving are a son, Lawrence of Owen; six daughters, Sister Alice Henke of Ladysmith, Eileen Graham of Owen, Ruth Rose of Fargo, ND, Dorothy Wozniak of Stanley, sister Dolores Henke of Stevens Point and Marian Pabich of Eau Claire; 32 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.


She was predeceased by her husband and a daughter, Marie.
