The weather man must have found our Indian summer, for we have been enjoying ideal weather for the past week.

Ralph Lawson ahs returned home to work his father's farm, bringing with him his bride. We extend our congratulations to this young couple and wish them good luck.

The boys of the neighborhood turned out one night last week and welcomed Ralph Lawson and his bride back to Sherwood by ringing all the cow bells, old saws, in fact anything that would made a noise.

Our cheese factory is getting new patrons each week and the receipts for the last year should surely be encouraging to the farmers. The farmers should also be congratulating themselves in having such a careful painstaking cheese maker as Mr. Joh Vogeli. Anyone can visit the cheese factory at any time and they will always find it in a clean, sanitary condition.

There will be a dance in the town hall Saturday night. Come and bring your best girl.

Quite a number of the neighbors have called on Mrs. B. Enfield and all report mother and twins doing nicely.

The ladies aid which met with Mrs. J. Gehre was very well attended. Those who stayed for supper were favored with a cake eating contest. Mr. H. Schwanebeck and Mr. Whitcamp carried of the prize.

Mr. A. Anderson and Mrs. J. Vogeli, Mrs. J. Gehre, Mrs. Bertha Frechette and Mr. Louis Scholtz were Neillsville visitors on Saturday.

Mr. Geo. Burdick bought 3 more cows this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Ellery Messing visited Mr. and Mrs. Geo Burdick Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Vogeli, our popular cheesemaker, entertained at dinner on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Redman and son William, Mrs. Bertha Frechette and daughter Beulah and Mr. Louis Scholtz. In the evening they entertained Mr. W. Tullis, Miss Isabelle Frechette and Mrs. Mary Kosmoski, our talented young school teacher in District No. 1.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Gall were Granton visitors on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Burdick were Granton visitors on Monday.

There was a meeting in the town hall Monday to discuss the question of making better roads. Everyone seemed in favor of the motion, so we will look forward to better roads in the near future.
