Kozlowski, Doris (1914? – 27 December 2009)

 

Doris Kozlowski, 95, of Estill Springs, TN, passed away quietly Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Harton Regional Medical Center.

 

Doris Kozlowski was native of Texas.  She was married to her late husband, John, in 1945 in Las Cruz, NM. After their marriage, they moved to City Point, where they were tavern owners most of their married life.

 

Doris was an avid sports fan.  Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.  Her favorite NASCAR driver was Jeff Gordon.  She was a 58-year active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Pittsville.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (John) De Long of Estill Springs; grandson, Douglas (Clarissa) De Long of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughter, Dawn (Cory) Spry, also of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jensen, Madeline, Aaron and Zach.

 

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.  Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Lung Association.  It was Doris’ request to be cremated.  There will be no interment. 

 

Condolences may be sent to her daughter, Gloria De Long at 112 Gaul Street, Estill Springs, TN 37330.

 

Grant Funeral Services, 103 Peters Road, Estill Springs, TN 37330 ((31-649-3858) is assisting the family with arrangements.
