Hagen, Donna L. (6 March 1939 – 10 March 2010)

 

Donna L. Hagen, 71, of Black River Falls passed away peacefully March 10, 2010, in Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

 

Donna was born March 6, 1939, in Black River Falls to Jerdy and Minnie (Johnson) Paar.  She was raised in Black River Falls and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1957.  She married Eugene Hagen Aug. 30, 1958, in Black River Falls.  The couple lived in Hubertus and then returned to Black River Falls.

 

Donna was employed as a custodian for many years by the Black River Falls School District.  She also worked in the housekeeping department at Arrowhead Lodge, and she did home care for Pine View Home Health.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and reading.

 

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; two daughters, Lori Slosser and Linda (Bernard Stubrud, both of Black River Falls; five brothers, Jerry (Kay) Paar and Roger Paar, both of Black River Falls, Larry (Joanie) Paar, Franklin, David Paar, Nekoosa, and Joe (Sue) Paar, La Crosse; three sisters, Doris Boe, Taylor, Judy (Bob) Amundson, Eau Claire, And Julie (Gene) Woods, Dorchester; one brother-in-law, Richard (Dorothy) Hagen, Greenfield; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Helen (Craig Johnson) and Adam Stubrud, Kristine, Courtney and Lauren Slosser; one Great-grandchild, Trent Stubrud; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Donna was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey; her parents, Jerdy and Minnie Paar; and her father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Helen Hagen.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Black River Falls. Reverend John Steiner officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls.  Relatives and friends called at Torgerson’s Funeral Home (715-284-4321), Black River Falls Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

 

Honorary pallbearers were Lauren Slosser and Trent Stubrud.

 

Pallbearers were Benjamin, Helen and Adam Stubrud, Kristine and Courtney Slosser and Craig Johnson.
