Bloczynski, Mary (26 April 1922 – July 12, 2009)

 

Mary Bloczynski, 87, of Black River Falls passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Family Heritage Care Center, Black River Falls.

 

She was born to Joseph and Pauline (Plonka) Staszak April 26, 1922, in Hatfield.  Mary was raised in Hatfield.  She moved to Ypsilanti, MI where she was employed during WWII in a factory building B-24s.  She then moved to Chicago, IL, where she also had done some factory work before returning to Black River Falls.

 

She was united in marriage June 15, 1946, to Leo J. Bloczynski. The couple lived in Black River Falls, all their married lives.  As a young woman she worked as a waitress in local restaurants.  She was also employed at Fort McCoy, at Melody Café and the Real McCoys, as a cook until her retirement.

 

Mary lived a full life of traveling, gardening, boating and fishing.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Daniel) Riederer of Darwin, MN; two sons, Leo (Bonnie) Bloczynski Jr. and Robert (Debra) Bloczynski, both of Black River Falls; four grandchildren, Candy (Douglas) Utter, Chad (Amy) Bloczynski, Cody and Dylan Bloczynski, all of Black River Falls; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Bere and Angelina Bloczynski; and a sister, Agnes Schanen of Black River Falls; a sister-in-law Patricia Kling of Hatfield and nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; granddaughters, Wendy and Ashlynn Bloczynski; brothers, Albert and John Staszak; and sister, Stella (Charles) Jelinek and brother-in-law Lawrence Schanen.

 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Buswell Funeral Home and burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, both in Black River Falls. Reverend Kathleen Jury will officiate.

 

Family and friends are invited for visitation Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

 

Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.
