Pettibone, Bryce Dewey L. “Hi wi zi ga” (24 March 1989 – 2 May 2009)

Bryce Dewey L. Pettibone, “Hi wi zi ga,” 20, of Black River Falls died unexpectedly Saturday, May 2, 2009, in the Town of Komensky, Jackson County.

He was born in Black River Falls March 24, 1989, to Jon P. and Debbie (Smith) Pettibone.

He graduated from Black River Falls High School in 2007.

Bryce was a very gifted musician. He was a fluent guitar player and a talented piano player. He sang and wrote songs and also started recording music.

He enjoyed racing, working on cars and collecting cars.

Surviving are his parents, Jon P. and Debbie Pettibone, a brother, Vincent Pettibone, and two sisters, Ariell and Starlynn Pettibone, all of Black River Falls; his paternal grandfather, Leslie Pettibone, Portage; his paternal grandmother Janette Smoke, Wyeville; and his maternal grandmother, Nancy Smith, Black River Falls.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bartlett and Darus, and his maternal grandfather, George Smith.

Funeral services for Bryce Dewey L. Pettibone were held Monday, May 4, 2009, from 10 a.m. until noon at his parents’ home at W8651 Pettibone Pass in the town of Komensky. Burial was in the Decorah Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Lance Domenget, Danny Dowling, Jr., Adam DeNasha, Patrick Houghton, Cory Jenna, Troy Rave, Darren Hopinka and Joshua Garcia.

Torgerson’s Funeral Service (715-284-4321) of Black Rive4r Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
