Fitzpatrick, James D. “Jimmy” (8 February 1992 – 5 March 2009)

James D. “Jimmy” Fitzpatrick, 17, of Black River Falls, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at his residence.

Jimmy was born Feb. 8, 1992, at the Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls, to Lori (Wilkinson) Fitzpatrick and Donald Smith. Jimmy was raised by Lori and Todd Fitzpatrick in Black River Falls.

He was employed by Western Dairyland as a carpenter for about seven months.

Jimmy loved hunting for turkey and deer, fishing, four-wheeling and almost anything to do with the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, woodworking and being on the Internet, especially My Space.

Jimmy was hoping for an enlistment in the Armed Forces, as his brother Joshua is a Marine stationed at Twenty Nine Palms Marine Corps Base in Twenty Nine Palms, CA.

He is survived by his mother Lori of Black River Falls; his stepfather, Todd Fitzpatrick of Black River Falls, two brothers, Joshua S. Mouradian of Twenty Nine Palms, CA and Corey Lee Sprinkle of Black River Falls; grandmother, Peggy Wilkinson of Fairchild; grandparents, Ken and Sharon Fitzpatrick of Black River Falls; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his Uncle Bob, for going to the races on Saturdays in West Salem.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles “Chuck” Wilkinson.

Memorial services were held Monday, March 9, 2009, 11 a.m. at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls. Rev. Kathleen Jury officiated. Burial was in Sullivan Cemetery, rural Black River Falls. Family and friends were invited for visitation Monday, March 9, 2009, from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
