Zumbach, Steven J. (1945? – 15 February 2009)

Steven J. Zumbach found peace Feb. 15, 2009, at the age of 64.

Steve was an avid fisherman and wood carver. His love for his children and foster children will never be forgotten.

He was the beloved husband and best friend of Patricia (nee Mcdonel); proud father of Steven and Shawn Zumbach, Kimberley (Merlin) Slegel and Robin (Wayne Gmeiner) Hagan; loving “Papa” of Nickolas, Gina and Jaimie; dear son of Grace Zumbach; and dear brother of Thomas (Patricia) Zumbach. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Helmut; his sons, Johnny and Larry; and his granddaughter, Ashlynn.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at Fairview Evangelical Lutheran Church, 137 N. 66 Street, Milwaukee.

There will be a memorial gathering Wednesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. A private interment will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorials for Shawn’s education would be appreciated.
