Switalski, Albert B. (17 SEP 1893 – 15 SEP 1974)
Albert B. Switalski, a resident of rural Brooklyn, Wisconsin for more than
50 years, died of cancer on September 15, 1974 at the V.A. Hospital in
Madison two days before his 81st birthday.
He was born in Stanley and lived in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) with his parents
until 1915. On February 19, 1919 he was married to Hattie Ingraham in
Glencoe, Illinois. He was a veteran of World War I and was a conductor for
the Chicago & Northwester Railroad until his retirement in 1963.
He is survived by his widow; two sons, Wendell, Louisville, Kentucky, and
Milan, Brooklyn, Wisconsin; and five grandchildren. Also surviving are: one
brother, Joseph of Sauk City; five sisters, Wanda Weaver and Irene McCarthy,
Chicago, Illinois, Katherine Bentley, Evanston, Illinois, Hedwig Corban,
Tower, Minnesota, and Stella Frohriep, Sturgis, Michigan.
He was buried with full military honors in Brooklyn, Wisconsin on September
18, 1974.
