Gumz, Henry F. (19 December 1907-2 June 1983)

DORCHESTER- Services will be Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church for Henry F. Gumz, 75, of Route 1, Dorchester, who died Thursday at his home.

The Rev. David W. Maki will officiate and burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leonard, Eugene, Herbert, William and Alfred Gumx and Glen Kreklau.

Visitations will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester.

Mr. Gumz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Anna Richwalski) Gumz, was born December 19, 1907 at Dorchester and attended Bruckerville Grade School.

He and Elizabeth Riske were married September 17, 1936 at Athens.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, and was on the church Finance Committee and School Board. He farmed in the Town of Holton all his married life, was a former director of the Dorchester Co-op Board and a member of the Dorchester Senior Citizens Club.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Robert, Kenneth and Richard Gumz, all of Dorchester; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ella Laessig, Stratford; and a brother, Mike Gumz, Stetsonville. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters.
