Strupp, Irene M. (1931? - 4 Jan. 2009)

Irene M. Strupp, 77, of Marshfield and formerly of Hewitt died Sun. Jan. 4, 2009, at the Marshfield Care Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wed., Jan. 7, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerome J. Gerum officiating. Suzanne Golden will be the organist along with Sacred Heart Church Funeral Choir. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Hewitt. Pallbearers will be Mark Treml, Dennis Mader, Matt Strupp, Larry Shortess, Dale Meyer and William Kolb.

Visitations will be Tues. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and again Wed. at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. There will be a rosary service at 4 p.m. Tues. at the funeral home by the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Irene was born in town of Milladore to Joseph and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Dillinger) Treml. She graduated from Auburndale High School in 1948. She and Joseph P. Strupp were married Oct. 14, 1950, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale.

She worked for Kemper Insurance in Chicago prior to her marriage. After their marriage, they farmed in Hewitt for many years before retiring. Irene loved all the animals on the farm especially her cows.

Irene is survived by her husband, Joseph; and her son, Daniel Strupp of Middleton.

She is further survived by three sisters, Margaret Czaikowski of King, Josephine Mancl of Hewitt, and Monica Thompson of Kewaunee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mildred Mader and Veronica Frey; and three brothers, Clarence, Archie and Joseph Treml.
