Charlene F. Stoiber, age 87, of Dorchester, WI, passed away on September 21, 2019 at the Mount View Care Center in Wausau, with her family by her side.

Charlene was born November 11, 1931 in the Town of Mayville, Clark County to Charles and Mathilda (Stasek) Lapp. She attended Hilltop Grade School and graduated from Dorchester High School. On April 26, 1950, she and Clarence Stoiber were united in marriage at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester.

The couple resided in rural Dorchester where they dairy-farmed and raised their family. Charlene had many talents; the most noted were cake decorating, sewing, gardening and cooking. She made many beautiful wedding cakes for relatives and friends. The dresses she sewed, plus the numerous quilts were meticulously done. She was always willing to teach her skills to anyone wanting to learn. Charlene kept her children involved in the local 4-H Club. She was an active member of the Lucky 13 Homemaker Club and the Curtiss Corner Quilt Club. She helped with local elections and for thirteen years worked as the treasurer for the Town of Mayville. She enjoyed playing cards with her children, grandchildren and friends and had an extra soft spot for animals.

Survivors include six children, Greg (Debbie) Stoiber of Green Bay, Gloria (Bill) Becker of Foristell, MO, Pauline (Jon) Zweck of Wausau, Carol (Bill Foreman) Kadonsky of Lebanon, IL, Julene (Don) Erl of Medford, and Steven (Rosario) Stoiber of Maricopa, AZ; ten grandchildren, Stacey (Jeff) Alioto, Cori (Chris) Jurgensmeyer, Troy (Jennifer) Gangwisch, Jordan (Colin Gillis) Zweck, Justin (Diana Gamba) Zweck, Michelle Kadonsky, Chris (Samantha) Kadonsky, Nick Kadonsky, Olivia (John Gunderson) Erl, and Madeline Stoiber; seven great-grandchildren, Evan (Emily) Alioto, Camden Alioto, and Kaitlyn, Karlyn, Caleb and Makaelyn Gangwisch, Wes Gunderson; one great-great grandson, Ryder Watkins; and three siblings, John Lapp, Doris Graham and James (Patricia) Lapp.
