Snow, Iva (29 DEC 1915)
A pretty home wedding took place at the country home of Commissioner and
Mrs. L. E. Curl, one mile east of Golva, at 10 o’clock last Wednesday
morning, December 29, 1915, when their only son, Guy W. Curl, took onto
himself a bride in the person of Miss Iva Snow, only daughter of Mrs. P.A.
Greeley of Sentinel Butte.
The home was artistically decorated for the occasion in white streamers and
white wedding bells, the ceremony taking place at the west end of the parlor
beneath one of the wedding bells, Rev. Hammer of the local Methodist Church
performing the ceremony which united the young hearts. Only the immediate
friends and relatives of the contracting parties were invited to the
wedding.
The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of white crepe meteor and white
shadow lace, and was attended by Miss Lois Curl, sister of the groom, who
was gowned in pale pink taffeta. Joe Dilley of this city attended Mr. Curl
as best man.
Following the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the dining room, where a
sumptuous wedding breakfast was served.
The newly wedded couple motored to this city and left on No. 2 that day for
South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin and other eastern points on a wedding trip.
They will be at home to their friends at the groom’s farm south of Golva
after March 15th.
The bride is a graduate of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) High School and has been
teaching school near Sentinel Butte during the past few years, while the
groom is a thrifty young farmer in the Golden Valley. Both have a large
circle of friends who will extend them their heartiest felicitations for a
happy and prosperous voyage on the seas of matrimony. (Golva, North Dakota

Miss Iva Snow is well known here (Loyal), having lived here all her life
until two years ago.
