Lueck, Linda (Marriage – 28 June 1975)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, June 28, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Christie by Miss Linda Lueck and Mark Hemp. The Rev. Ralph Stuebs officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Lueck, Rt. 1, Greenwood, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hemp, Neillsville. A reception followed at the Wildcat Inn.

The bride’s gown of ivory sugarcane jersey was styled with a Watteau train and detachable hood trimmed with venise lace and pearl beading. She carried a cascade arrangement of white orchids and yellow roses as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Miss Janis Lueck, La Crosse, was the maid of honor and Mrs. Sharon Helwig, Marshfield, the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Leslie Zasoba, West Allis and Miss Donna Lueck, Greenwood. Their mint green polyester halter gowns with matching hooded capes were accented by cascade bouquets of yellow orchids and ivy.

Serving as best man was Matthew Hemp. Groomsmen were Daniel Helwig and Jeffrey Fitzmaurice. Ushering duties were shared by Roger Erickson and Melvin Hemp.

Special music included the selections “O Perfect Love” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

The bride was honored at a prenuptial shower given by Sharon Helwig and Barbara Opelt.

A 1971 graduate of Neillsville high school and a 1972 graduate of District One Technical Institute, the new Mrs. Hemp is employed as a secretary at a local bank. Her husband graduated from Neillsville High School in 1970 and from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1974. He is employed by the county highway department.

The couple will live in Neillsville upon returning from a wedding trip through the western states.
