VanRyzin, Shirley Mae (Huebner) (21 SEP 1926 - 16 AUG 2019)

Shirley Mae VanRyzin, 92, Marshfield, formerly of Stratford, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, where the visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Rev. Sue Eidahl presided. Burial took place in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stratford.

Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, assisted the family.

Shirley Mae was born on Sept. 21, 1926, in Loyal, to Frederick and Violet (Getlinger) Huebner and was a 1944 graduate of Stratford High School. She was united in marriage to Ernest R. VanRyzin on June 19, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, and they were married for 59 years. Ernest died on June 1, 2007.

Shirley was employed at Huebner Pride Dairy as a bookkeeper and helper until retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, where she was a former member of the choir and was active with the Altar Guild and the Mary Circle. She enjoyed baking, cooking and flowers. She enjoyed several winters in Clearwater, Fla., with her husband and parents.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and seven godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; a daughter and a son in infancy; a brother, Everett (Lores) Huebner; a brother-in-law, Ralph VanRyzin; and a sister-in-law, Florence Young.

Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford.
