Dorrenbach, A. J. Rt. Rev. Msgr. (1876? - 24 Mar. 1941)

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. J. Dorrenbach, who was the pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Marshfield, since 1924, died Mon. night at 9:20 at the parish rectory. Father Dorrenbach, age 64, was in poor health the past two years.

The body will lie in state in St. John’s church until Fri. morning at 10 o’clock when the pontificial requiem high mass will be Sun.with the Most. Rev. William R. Griffin, Auxiliary Bishop of the La Crosse Diocese, as celebrant.

The funeral sermon will be preached by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. H. P. Toeller, a schoolmate and life long friend of Father Dorrenbach.

Internment will be made in Hillside cemetery beside the grave of his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Dorrenbach who died in 1928.

The present two assistants in the parish work at St. John’s are the Rev. Arthur Heindl and the Rev. Paul Stimmler. Father Heindl, who was ordained to the priesthood in June 1940, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nie Heindl of the Town of Holton.
