Reinhold J. "Reinie" Panske, 96, of Marshfield died Thur. morning, April 23, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon. at St. John's Catholic Church. Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sun. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and again on Mon. at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. There will be a parish prayer service at 4 p.m. Sun. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Reinhold J. "Reinie" Panske, 96, of Marshfield died on Thur. morning, April 23, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon. at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel. Suzanne Golden will provide the music along with St. John's Church Funeral Choir. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim and Percy Nelson, Dave Holland and Larry Barthels. Active pallbearers will be Bob Rasmussen, Tim and Dave Panske, Tom Nelson, Dick Engelbright and Dennis Kempf.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sun. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and again on Mon. at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. There will be a parish rosary service at 4 p.m. Sun. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Reinie was born on July 17, 1912, to John and Augusta (Seidler) Panske in the town of Lincoln. He attended Ebbe School and St. Mary's Parochial in Bakerville.

He was united in marriage to Eleanore B. Nelson on June 25, 1938, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville.

After their marriage, they lived in Milwaukee where Reinie was employed at Allis Chalmers, and was a cab driver and construction worker. In 1946, they returned to Marshfield, where he worked for Lang and Sherman Machine Shop until joining Felker Bros. He retired from Felkers in 1978 and continued to live in Marshfield where he enjoyed woodworking and working part time at Keel's Photography.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanore, daughters Charlotte (John) Davies of San Diego, Calif., and Geraldine (Dan) Statz of Marshfield; six grandchildren Mike Davies, Jeff (Liz) Davies, Greg (Jen) Davies, Shannon and Melissa Davies, Kim Statz; and five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother Leo (Luetta) Panske of Tampa, Fla., and a sister-in-law Rita Panske of Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Teresa Statz, a brother Alois Panske and a sister Adeline Rasmussen.

Memorials may be given in his name to either St. John's Church or the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital.
