Hahn, Anna L. (1 July 1921 - 30 Apr. 2009)

PITTSVILLE -- Anna L. Hahn, 87, of Pittsville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to heaven to be with our Lord at her home on Thur. morning, April 30, 2009. She was under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Sat. May 2, 2009, at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Pittsville with the Rev. Jude Ndugbu officiating. Burial will be in St. Joachim's Cemetery with Thomas Hughes, William Hahn, Joshua Sherwood, Matthew Sherwood, Paul Hahn, Vern Kleinhenz, Amy Mason, Brian Weinfurter, Tiffany Hahn, Ronald Hahn Jr., Lisa Denniston and Jill Gordee serving as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 11 a.m. until time of the services at St. Joachim's on Sat. Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) of Marshfield is assisting the family with the arrangements. Anna was born on July 1, 1921, to Charles and Louisa (Altmann) Weinfurter in Blenker. She attended St. Kilian's Parochial School.

She was united in marriage to Donald W. Hahn on Sept. 25, 1943, in Spartanburg, S.C. Our wife and mother was a hard worker. She did housekeeping while living in Milwaukee. When she and Donald moved to Pittsville, they bought a farm and started their life. She did much of the farm work while raising the children. Anna was a devoted woman to her family and enjoyed spending time with them whether it was going to lunch or just sitting on the couch together. She loved everything to be just so. She enjoyed reading, gambling, baking and gardening.

Anna is survived by her husband Donald, 10 children, Donna (James) Prepeluh of Hewitt, Marlene (Robert) Grossman of Arpin, Ronald (Sharon) Hahn of Wisconsin Rapids, Jack (Kathy) Hahn of Pittsville, Katie (David) Weinfurter of Arpin, Marge (Rick) Marten of Pittsville, Diane (Art) Kleinhenz of Pittsville, Betty (Roger) Sherwood of Arpin, Gene (Dani) Hahn of Stevens Point, and Sandy (Steve) Hughes of Pittsville; 34 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Anna is further survived by three sisters, Regina Stanke of Junction City, Florence (Harvey) Krings of Milladore and Loretta Hahn of Pittsville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Mary and Anna; two brothers and four sisters.
