Dahlby, Diane L. (26 Mar. 1957 - 13 June 1996)

Diane L. Dahlby, 39, of 2400 S. Washington Ave. died at 12:10 a.m. June 13, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit where she had been admitted on June 5, 1996, after a courageous battle with cancer for the past five years.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sat. at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Mark A. Krueger, pastor, will officiate. Bruce A. Jenesma will be the organist for congregational singing.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Forbish, Jerry Boyance, Raymond Weyer, Rodney J. Olsen, Ervin Somerville and Rodney Friedrichsen.

Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel and again from 7-8:30 a.m. Sat. at the funeral chapel and then at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

She was born March 26, 1957, in Marshfield, to Richard H. and Elda R. (Seefeldt) Rust. She was married to Jeffery Adler and they later divorced. She was married to Thomas L. Dahlby on May 19, 1989, at Christ Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Dahlby attended Marshfield elementary schools and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1975. In July 1976, she became associated with M&I Central Bank & Trust as an administrative assistant. She remained with the bank until December 1995, retiring due to ill health. She continued to reside in Marshfield.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church; was a Sun.school teacher and confirmation instructor; and was a former member of the Professional Secretaries International, Marshfield Chapter.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Dahlby of Marshfield; two step-sons, Christopher Dahlby and Benjamin Dahlby, both of Marshfield; her parents, Richard H. and Elda R. Rust of Marshfield; her three sisters, Dawn (Morrie) Enders of La Crosse, Dorothy (James) Aumann of Greendale and Darice Rust of Fond du Lac; her brother, Rich Rust of La Crosse; and her maternal grandmother, Hilda Seefeldt of Marshfield.

Memorials may be designated in Diane’s name to the family as they will establish a memorial.
