Martin, Joseph P. (29 Apr. 1933 - 10 Nov. 1976)

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Fri. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Appleton for Joseph P. Martin, 43, of 127 E. Capitol Drive, Appleton, formerly of Marshfield. He died Wed. at Appleton Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient the past month. Death was attributed to cancer.

Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Appleton.

Mr. Martin was born April 29, 1933, in Marshfield, attended area grade schools and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. He had resided in Appleton for the past eight years and was employed there by Honeywell Corp. He married the former Betty Caldwell of Florida in 1953. She survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Michael, Superior; Donald, Green Bay, Ronald, Spencer, and Mark, at home; a daughter, Dianna, also at home; his mother, and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tank, Spooner; six sisters, Mrs. Donald (Margie) Rose, Spencer, Mrs. Vern (Mary) Kilty, Athens, Mrs. Duane (Birdie) Rose, Marshfield, Mrs. Ronald (Cookie) Beaver, Milwaukee, Mrs. Jack (Barbara) Mechelke, Loyal, and Mrs. Arlyn (Theresa) Schwantes, Spencer, and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugo L. Martin.
