Greunke, Roger (3 June 1944 - 12 Jan. 2006)

PORT EDWARDS - Roger Greunke, 61, of LaVigne Avenue, Port Edwards, died Thur., Jan. 12, 2006, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Mon. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. The Rev. Daniel Bohn will officiate. Burial will be in the village of Port Edwards Cemetery.

Roger was born June 3, 1944, in Marshfield, to Armin and Dorothy (Broeske) Greunke. A 1962 graduate of John Edwards High School in Port Edwards, Roger was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for Fahrner Asphalt in Plover.

His interests included collecting and repairing clocks, and collecting antiques and guns. He had a passion for repairing and playing theater organs.

He is survived by his parents, Armin and Dorothy Greunke of Fond du Lac; one brother, Dennis (Rebecca) Greunke of Madison; two nephews, Dennis and Matthew Greunke; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Lynn Greunke; and his grandparents.

Friends may call Mon. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa is assisting the family.

Memorials may be designated to Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards.
