Lamberty, Kathleen "Midge" (Lafontaine) (April 21, 1943 - February 2, 2012)

Kathleen "Midge" Lamberty, 68, Brookfield, died on Thursday, Feb. 2 of an aortic rupture. A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Becker Ritter Funeral Home in Brookfield.

The former Kathleen Lafontaine was born on April 21, 1943 in Stetsonville to the late David E. and Irene Lafontaine. She graduated from Medford High School in 1961 and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1965.

On June 21, 1969 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Whittlesey, she married Roy Lamberty, who survives. They traveled the world and to all 50 states.

She enjoyed gardening, baking and family events.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a sister, Karen Yates of Estero, Fla.; two brothers, Dave (Gail) of Marshfield and Tom (Sharon) of Wisconsin Rapids; in-laws, Donna (Mike) Roiger and Robert (Mary) of Whittlesey, and Roman (Lois) Jasper of Texas; and nieces and nephews.
