Bromley, Father Vincent M. (November 7, 1938 - January 10, 2012)

Father Vincent M. Bromley, 73, passed into eternal life on January 10, 2012.

He is survived by his mother, Eva Bromley, of Jump River; siblings, Jerome (Dorothy Wernig) of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Mary Ann Olson of Ladysmith, Margaret (Edward) Jedinak of Hartland, Dennis of Owen, Roger (Margaret) of Brown Deer, Colin of Normal, Ill., Paula Bromley of Jump River and Rita (Peter) Hutchinson of Goode, Va.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; and sisters, Kathleen Musiediak and Louise Bahr.


Father Bromley was born on November 7, 1938 in Jump River. He graduated from Hannibal High School in 1956, St. Lawrence Seminary in Mt. Calvary in 1959 and then entered St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. He was ordained to the priesthood at Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior on May 29, 1965. He celebrated his First Mass at his boyhood parish, St. Michael's at Jump River on June 1, 1965.


He was pastor at many parishes in the Diocese of Superior, and retired from St. Peter's Parish in Winter in September 2009 for health reasons.


A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 16 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with Bishop Peter Christensen and Father Saji Pazhukkathara officiating. Burial was at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River. Memorials to Our Lady of Sorrows School are appreciated.

Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
