Stibbe, Laura F. (Petersen) (February 18, 1936 - December 13, 2011)

Laura Stibbe, 74, Interwald, died on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Greenwood.


Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

Laura F. Stibbe, 75, Town of Greenwood, died on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at her home, surrounded by her family, and under hospice and palliative care.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 17 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Greenwood, with Rev. Joseph Dietrich officiating. Interment was at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.


Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.


The former Laura Petersen was born on February 18, 1936 in Camp Douglas to the late Clarence and Dora (Petersen) Petersen. She attended grade school in Camp Douglas and was a 1953 graduate of Camp Douglas High School.


On April 14, 1956 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, she married Alvin R. Stibbe, who preceded her in death on July 16, 2004. They owned and operated a dairy farm from 1956 until 1977, and she also worked at Patrick Fur Farm and later at Weather Shield.


She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, past Sunday school and Bible school teacher, and the Church Pioneers, and worked with the Town of Greenwood election board. She enjoyed gardening, mowing lawn, feeding the deer and birds, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Survivors include six children, Mark (Linda) of Antigo, Greg (Barb) and Jeff (Roxy), both of Rib Lake, Lori Ann Stibbe and Michelle (Tim) Kulchycki, both of Appleton, and Christie (David) Jinsky of Mauston; a brother, Tom (Jean) of Nevada; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, with the fifth expected in June; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; and her dog, Holly.

Wachsmuth, Debra Ann (Shilts) (February 11, 1958 - December 10, 2011)

Debra Ann Wachsmuth, 53, Chippewa Falls, died on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Mayo Health Systems Eau Claire Campus.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, with Father John Long officiating. Burial was at the parish cemetery.


Plombon Funeral Service of Gilman assisted the family with arrangements.

EAU CLAIRE - Debra Ann (Shilts) Wachsmuth, 53, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Gilman, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at Mayo Health Systems Eau Claire Campus.

She was born on Feb. 11, 1958 in Milwaukee.

Debbie was an Elvis fan and loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by: two daughters, Lisa (Jesse) Dwyer, Eau Claire and Amanda (Larry) Gergely, Stanley; her grandchildren, Chase, Jamison, Jenna, Haiden, Alexia, Alayna and Azia; her father, Leonard (Jan) Shilts, Sr. of Neillsville; her step-mother, Joyce Glapa of Milwaukee; her siblings, Bonnie (John) Carrillo of Milwaukee, Julia (Jerry) Lasiter of Roland, Okla., Jack (Jeannie) Shilts of Cudahy, Robert (Theresa) Monte of Milwaukee, Debra (Pud) Monte of Stanley, Gloria (Bill) Linville of Portland, Texas Leonard Shilts, Jr., of West Allis, Kim (Bob) Mentecki of Milwaukee, Tricia (Scott) Hausauer of Appleton, Sean (Jenny) Shilts of Fall Creek, Daina Shilts of Neillsville; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Debra is preceded in death by: her brothers, Dave and Mel Gumowski, Eugene Monte, Scott Shilts; and sister, Winnie Shilts.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman with Father John Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church.

Plombon Funeral Service-Gilman assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated.
