During Reverend Probst pastorate, the congregation voted to build a new church on another site nearer Medford in April of 1888.

The congregation voted to affiliate with the Warturg Synod and completed the second church and parsonage in January of 1890.

Reverend J. Probst served St. Paul’s from 1888 through 1893.
