Peissig, Veronica* (December 28, 1853 - September 8, 1930)

MRS. HERMAN PEISSIG

Mrs. Herman Peissig, an old resident of the Town of Little Black, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, September 18, at the Clark county farm. The cause of her death was old age.

Funeral services were held from the home of her son Julius Saturday, September 20, with a minister from Owen officiating and her body was laid to rest in the cemetery south of Stetsonville.

The pall bearers were Joe Pueschner, Albert Rauchfuss, Joe Peissig, Chas. Kuegler, Joe Ruprich and A. C. Ludwig.

Mrs. Peissig was born in Austria December 28, 1853, and was married to Mr. Peissig in 1870. She came to Taylor County in 1891 settling in the Town of Little Black. She is survived by two sons, Julius near Dorchester, and Herman near Curtiss, and also by sixteen grandchildren. Her husband died in 1922.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laabs of Colby were present at the funeral.
