Tervinkel, Betty (Marriage - 11 Mar 1949)

A double ring wedding ceremony was solemnized at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 1949 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tervinkel in River Falls when their daughter Miss Betty Tervinkel became the bride of Richard (Dick) J. Hartenstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hartenstein of Hannibal.

Rev. Mr. Harris, a Methodist minister of River Falls, performed the wedding ceremony.

The bride chose a tan dress with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of yellow roses.

Miss Eileen Tervinkel, sister of the bride, wore a blue dress with matching accessories and a bouquet of yellow roses.

Attending the groom was his brother Donald of Hannibal. Boutonnieres of carnations were worn by the groom and his attendant.

Ward Tervinkel, four-year-old nephew of the bride, acted as ring bearer.

The bride is a student at River Falls.

The groom was a graduate of 1944 from the Hannibal High School. After graduation Dick served one and one-half years in the U.S. Army. At present he is a sophomore student at River Falls.

Following the reception the young couple left for a short wedding trip to Stillwater, Minn. They are now at home to their many friends and relatives in their newly decorated apartment in River Falls.
