Marx, Jane C. (Kaudy) (September 7, 1951 - May 13, 2010)

Jane C. (Kaudy) Marx, age 58, of Spencer, was born into eternal life Thursday, May 13, 2010 at her home, with her husband by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel officiated.

Jane was born September 7, 1951 in Marshfield, the daughter of John and Delores (Orlikowski) Kaudy. She graduated from Medford High School and went on to earn her BSE at UW-Eau Claire and Masters in Education from the UW-Stevens Point. Jane was employed as a teacher at Grant Elementary School in Marshfield from August 1975 until December 2003, when her illness forced her to retire.

On October 21, 1988, the former Jane Kaudy was united in marriage to Paul Marx in Madison, Wis.

Mrs. Marx was an avid reader, who took pleasure in flower gardening, decorating, and collecting McCoy pottery and antiques. She especially enjoyed camping, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her beloved Brittany-Spaniel, Lacey, and her feline friend, Kitty Boy.

Jane is lovingly survived by her parents, John and Delores; husband, Paul; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Mitchell of Madison; and grandchildren, Jack Cullen and Keegan and Lillian Mitchell. Jane is further survived by siblings, Mary Wojotowicz, Diane Dittrich, Jeanette Kaudy, Jim Kaudy and Susie Hubbard, as well as many other family and friends. She will truly be missed.

Those wishing to express their sympathy are encouraged to do so to the Jane C. Marx Scholarship Fund.
