Steen, John R. (8 Feb. 1903 - 9 May 1998) RIB LAKE - John R. Steen, 95, Rib Lake, died May 9, 1998, at the Rib Lake Health Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dallmann Funeral Home and again from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

He was born Feb. 8, 1903, in the town of Greenwood. He had been employed at the Rib Lake Cheese Factory until his 1965 retirement.

He is survived by his two daughters, Ethel Ziemke of Rib Lake and Arlene (Herbert) Wiensch of Glendale, Ariz.; one son, Gilbert (Marlene) Steen of Tripoli; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Henry Steen of Medford; and three sisters, Louise Mueller and Anna Leader, both of Medford and Pauline Klemm of Crosby, Minn.
