Stibbe, Orville Ewald (September 29, 1918 - May 13, 2009)

Orville Ewald Stibbe, 90, Medford, died Monday, May 11 at Memorial Health Nursing Home in Medford.

Private services will be held. Interment will be at Our Saviours Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Rick, Kevin, Ash, Nick, Jenna and Jamie Nelson.

Orville Stibbe was born September 29, 1918 to the late Otto and Othilia (Bey) Stibbe. He attended Green Meadow Graded School.

On December 14, 1940 at the Lutheran Church Parsonage in Rib Lake, he married Myrtle Ethel Degner, who survives. He owned a dairy farm since the age of 28, retiring in 1987. He had also worked in a CCC Camp during the depression. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Florence (Richard) Nelson of Holway; three grandchildren, Rick (Mary) Nelson and Kevin (Amy) Nelson, both of Holway and Rhonda Nelson of Little Black; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma (Chester) Pagel.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
