Pagel, Dora L. (November 6, 1916 - February 25, 2010)


Dora L. Pagel, 93, Medford, died Thursday, Feb. 25 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford, where she had resided the past three years.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford, with Pastor James Krueger officiating. Burial was at Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.


The former Dora Strobach was born November 6, 1916 in Harlem, Mont., to the late Theodore and Minna (Greitsch) Strobach.

 

She attended Valders elementary schools. She did cleaning, babysitting and housework in the Medford area.


On May 30, 1942 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, she married Robert H. Pagel, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1969. They farmed in the Town of Medford until her husband's death. She then moved into Medford.


She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and past member of Ladies of Immanuel. She enjoyed sewing, farming, making clothes, quilting, writing letters, reading and cooking.


Survivors include two brothers, Bernard (Jeannette) of Medford and Fred (Ruth) of Buelton, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Norene Lowers of West Bend; and nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Rauman; and three brothers, Chester, Edwin and Armin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
