Popp, Elvera (Marriage - 9 June 1968)

Miss Elvera Popp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johann Popp of Kronach, Germany, and Dale Appleyard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Appleyard of Neillsville, were married June 9, in Emmaus Lutheran Church in Denver, Colo.

Given in marriage by her brother, Johann Popp of Denver, she chose for her wedding a white satin and lace empire styled gown. A crown of seed pearls and crystals held a bouffant veil. She carried a Bible topped with orchids and streamers of white roses and stephanotis.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Verla Peters. Flowergirl was Margie Pickins, and ringbearer was Norman Garcia.

Baskets of pink and white roses adorned the church. A reception was held in the church parlors.

The bride received her education in Kronach, Germany, and is employed as a dental assistant in Denver. Dale, who attended Wisconsin State University - Eau Claire, is employed by A. B. M. Calculator Company in Denver. He served three years in the Air Force.
