Gullick, Wilbur Rowe (14 AUG 1913 – 15 JAN 1914)

Wilbur Rowe Gullick was born August 14, 1913 and died at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gullick in Granton on January 15, 1914, being five months and one day old.  Wilbur had taken a slight cold which later developed into pneumonia.  The little darling was sick only a few days, “when he was not, for God took him.”  The precious remains were brought from Granton on Friday and taken to the home of his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Rowe, four miles north of this city and from which place funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, January 17, 1914.  The funeral services were largely attended, being the largest infant’s funeral held here in years.  A quartette of singers from the local M.E. choir rendered fitting selections and Rev. A. Schoenfeld, pastor of the Plymouth Congregational Church spoke tenderly from the words recorded in Luke 18: 14 “For of such is the kingdom of God.”  The sacred dust was laid to rest in the eastside cemetery.  In this dark and gloomy hour, Mr. and Mrs. Gullick have extended to them the deepest sympathy of an unusually large circle of friends and acquaintances
