Koenigs, Georgiane Cecelia (? JUN 1963)

Wedding promises were made recently by Miss Georgiane Cecelia Koenigs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Koenigs, Oshkosh, and Donald James Bentzler, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bentzler of Loyal.

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Francis M. McKeough celebrated the Nuptial Mass at St. Peters Catholic Church in Oshkosh.  The soloist was the Rev. Robert Gulig, Kaukauna, a relative of the bride.

Given in marriage by her god-father, Sylvester Guelig, Fond du Lac, the bride wore a silk organza gown trimmed with three-dimensional embroidery.  The bodice with a sculptured scoop neckline and elbow length sleeves, was attached to a controlled skirt with a chapel sweep.

A cluster of flowers and petals caught the fingertip veil of French illusion chosen by the bride, who carried a white rose bouquet.

Attired in a light blue silk shantung sheath dress with a detachable overskirt, Miss Mary Katherine Basel, Oshkosh, attended her aunt.  She carried blue and white carnations.

The bridegroom’s brother, Raymond Bentzler, Hartford, was his best man.  Another brother, Harold, Loyal and Robert Reigh, Oshkosh, ushered.

After the ceremony, the immediate families attended a dinner reception at 12:30 p.m. in the Columbus Clubhouse.

After their honeymoon in Canada, the couple will be at home at 309 South Cedar, Marshfield, where the bride is employed by the Marshfield public Schools and her husband is associated with Weyerhaeuser, Inc.
