Frankwick, Nancy Lee (08 JUN 1963)

Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church at Marshfield was the scene of the 9:30 a.m. Nuptial Mass on Saturday, which united Miss Nancy Lee Frankwick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Frankwick of Marshfield, and Wayne D. O’Brien, route 1, Loyal.

The Mass was sung by the church choir accompanied by Mrs. Rudolph Binzel at the organ.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white Chantilly lace floor length bridal gown.  The gown was fashioned with a Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins and featuring a hoop skirt of all around tiers of lace over taffeta and net ruffles completed with a chapel sweep train.

Her veil of imported illusion veiling was of fingertip length and secured to a queen’s crown of crystal.  She carried a bouquet of red and white roses with lily of the valley and red rosebud streamers.

Mr. and Mrs. James O’Brien, Jr., route 3, Marshfield were the best man and matron of honor, respectively.  Miss Marie Jonas, Marshfield, and Miss Patsy O’Brien and Mrs. Jerry Davel of Loyal were the bridesmaids with Clayton Bowe, Dale Rothamer and Jerry Davel, all of Loyal, as groomsmen.

The bridal attendants wore street length formals of nylon sheer over taffeta made with bateau necklines and side draped bodies.  Their full gathered skirts were completed by deep hems.  They had matching half crown head pieces trimmed with pearls and featuring face veils and their flowers were gardenias matching their dresses in pink, yellow and green.

Ronald O’Brien and Gerald Frankwick served as ushers.

A wedding breakfast for the bridal party was served at the Edwin Voelker home in Marshfield following the ceremony.  A dinner was held at the Eagles clubrooms with a reception from 2 to 5, followed by a supper served at six o’clock.  That evening there was a wedding dance at the Eagles.

Mrs. O’Brien, a 1962 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, is employed by the Adler Baking Company at Marshfield.  Her husband, who graduated in 1960 from the Loyal High School, is a truck driver for the O.W. Trindal Company, Loyal.

After a week’s honeymoon trip through northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will make their home at 314A Fifth Street.

Guests attending the wedding came from Marshfield, Loyal, Spring Valley, Milwaukee, Plymouth, De Pere, Sheboygan, Kiel, Hilbert, Medford; St. Paul, Minnesota and St. Louis, Missouri
