Pigott, Bernice (21 February 1903 - 13 April 1968)

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Bernice Pigott, 65, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died Saturday in Neillsville. The Rev. Paul Miller of the Free Methodist Church in Loyal officiated at services from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery.

Mrs. Pigott, the former Bernice Downer, was born February 21, 1903, in Granton. She attended Granton area schools. She was married in Loyal, November 13, 1919, to Harley Pigott. They farmed in the Town of York, later moving onto a farm in the Town of Fremont.

Mrs. Pigott is survived by her husband; 10 daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Lillian) Kriedman of Central Valley, Cal., Mrs. William (Emma) Paliafito of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Arnold (Gladys) Karl of Neillsville, Mrs. Ada Schave of Fond du Lac, Mrs. William (Doris) Johnson of Milton, Mrs. Levi (Donna) Galligan of Eden, Mrs. Elton (Zelda) Janke of Hixton, Mrs. James (Edith) Fox of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Bernard (Rossie) Hamburg of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Glen (Bonnie) Love of Oconomowoc; two sons, Harold of Walla Walla, Wash., and Harland of Chili. Other survivors include 36 grandchildren and several brothers and sisters, living in the west.

Pallbearers were: Laurence Dix, Charles Gardner, Mike Gardner, Edward Schlinsog, Norman Faber and Otto Sternitzky. Singers were Mrs. William Schmidtke and Mrs. Van Kayser, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Lee Garbisch.
