Firnstahl, Margaret (9? NOV 1963)

St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene of the marriage of Miss Margaret Firnstahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Firnstahl of route 1, Colby, and Berdell Bruesewitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Bruesewitz of route 1, Unity.

The vows were repeated before the Rev. Ambrose Blenker at 1 p.m. The church altar was decorated with potted chrysanthemums of yellow and gold. Sister Louise Ann provided the music during the ceremony.

The bride chose a floor length gown of lace in Princes style with a white lace overskirt in front and tiers of lace and nylon tulle in the back. The neckline was designed with seed pearls and sequins. A shoulder length veil was held with a lace crown with seed pearls and crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white pompons.

Mrs. Arlyn Bruesewitz, a sister-in-law of the groom, was the matron of honor. She wore a royal blue stain street length dress with a scooped neckline and fitted bodice. The matching long overskirt was designed with inverted pleats and a bow in front. A matching crown headpiece held a blush veil.

She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white pompons.

Mrs. Dennis Bruesewitz of Unity, a sister-in-law of the groom; Miss Betty Zygarlicke of Stratford, a cousin of the groom, and Miss Sharon Willner of Colby, another cousin of the groom, were the other bridal attendants.

They were dressed alike in ensembles of royal blue and gold.

Arlyn Bruesewitz of Unity, a brother of the groom, was the best man, and groomsmen were Dennis Bruesewitz, a brother of the groom; David Hoppa, Neillsville, cousin of the bride, and Daniel Firnstahl of Colby, a brother of the bride.

Performing the ushering duties were Merry Cramer of Spencer and Elroy Bruesewitz of Unity.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Sportsmen's Park, Colby. A supper was served at St. Mary's Catholic Church Hall to about 175 guests, and a wedding dance was held in the evening at Sportsmen's Park.

The groom is employed by George Kremsrieter as a pulp contactor, and he has also completed a correspondence course in diesel engineering.

They will live at rural Unity.

Guests attending came from Colby, Abbotsford, Stratford, Spencer, Neillsville, Marshfield, Unity, Milan, Chicago, Ill., and St. Paul, Minn.
