Schorer, Agnes L. (26 OCT 1963)

Mr. and Mrs. Conrad E. Dettmann are now making their home at 505 N. Fourth St. of Colby.

Baskets of white and blue mums were placed on the altar of the United Church of Christ of Colby for the wedding of Agnes Lucy Schorer and Conrad Ernest Dettmann, both of Colby, Oct. 26, 1963, at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Carl Serr read the exchange of promises in a double ring ceremony, during which Miss Eileen Weller was organist and accompanist for Mrs. Julia Jannene, who sang "The Lord's Prayer."

For the occasion the bride was attired in a green and blue street dress, accented by a corsage of pink and white carnations. To complete her ensemble she chose black accessories.

Attending as honor couple were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Voelker of Chili, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dettmann of Stratford, brother and sister-in-law of the groom.

The matron of honor wore a green print dress and the bridesmaid wore a blue print. Both had black accessories and corsages of pink and white carnations.

Following the ceremony a reception and supper were held at the church hall. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Sportsmen's park.

Among the guests were the bride's 10 children and their wives, and husband, from Wisconsin and Michigan, and the bride's three brothers and their wives from Chili, Marshfield, Stratford, Curtiss and Athens, and the Rev. and Mrs. Carl Serr of Colby.

Mr. Dettmann is employed at the Streckert Mfg. Co., Inc. at Abbotsford.
