Gies, Frank X. (21 November 1898 - 19 November 1967)

Funeral services for Frank Gies, 68, of rural Neillsville, who died November 19, were held last week Wednesday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Glenn Short, Aloys Krall, George Ziglinski, Frank Hoeser, Ernest Kuechenmeister and Raymond Zipfel.

People from out of town attending were: Lt. Elizabeth Gies of Travers AFB, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. James Gies and family of Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Laufenberg of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. John Gies of Palmyra; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zitka of Livingston; Lee and Frances Zitka of Muscoda; Mrs. Bob Seely of Gays Mills; Leo Gies of Avoca; Richard Paul and grandchildren of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gies and son of Avoca; Delbert Gies of Pine River; and William Gies of Berlin.
