Christman, Elmer L. (8 April 1898 - 19 November 1967)

Funeral services were held last week Wednesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Elmer L. Christmas, 69, who died November 19 in Neillsville. The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

“Heaven Is My Home” and “Asleep in Jesus” were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

Pallbearers were: Don E. Christman, Ernest C. Wassen, Jr., Charles C. Christman, Frederick Schutte, Marvin Schutte and Raymond Christman.

People from out of town attending were: Mrs. Senta Schutte, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zielinski and Mrs. Harold Ludwig, all of Owen; Mrs. John Iwaszczenko and daughter, Chicago, Ill.; Frank Lulloff, Cullen Ayers and Art Fravert of Loyal; Wm. Oldham and Ed Bjorn, Strum; Mrs. Paul Francel and two children, Sturtevant; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wassen and Ernest Wassen, Jr., Eagle; Mr. and Mrs. Lars Larson and Mrs. Ed Jenson, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Schutte and family, Harvard, Ill.; Mrs. David St. John, Cadott; Mr. and Mrs. Don Schutte and Rory, Fall Creek; Mrs. Doris Christianson and Raymond Christianson, Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. Art Christianson and three children, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schuette, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Schuette, Mrs. Obert Furan, Jr., George E. The county highway employees also attended in a body.

Elmer Christman was my uncle and his wife Senta was Alvin Schutte’s - dad’s sister.
Brings back memories of all my aunts uncles and cousins as well who have now all passed. Don Schutte, Neillsville, Wis.
