Sprague, Hiram (1812 - 3 JUN 1892)


Hiram Sprague died at Merrillan, Friday morning, June 3, 1892, at 1 o'clock, of Bright's disease, age 59 years, and was brought to Neillsville, Clark County for burial.

Mr. Sprague was born in Albany, N.Y., 1812. He came to Milwaukee in 1841, and resided there until 1873, when he came to the town of Pine Valley, in Clark County. He was a resident of this city for over twelve years. He went to Merrillan last February to reside with his son Oscar, at which place he died. He has been living back and forth at Merrillan with his son Delbert in the town of Weston, since he lost his wife some five years ago. He leaves a family of three sons, all of whom are grown to manhood, the third brother, Charles, now resides in Sparta.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in this city, Jun 4th, Rev. McKenzie officiating.
