Dwyer, John ( - 18 FEB 1882)

John Dwyer, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of the county, died at his residence in the town of Grant, Clark County, last Sautrday, Feb. 18, 1882, at 6:30 p.m., after an illness of but a few days' duration. The deceased was a native of Ireland, and had lived in Canada, Michigan and Wisconsin. He had been a resident of this county upwards of twenty years, during which time he has shown himself to be possessed of many noble qualities. Generous to a fault, honest and energetic and possessed withall of the happiest disposition ever give to man, the memory of Uncle John Dwyer will never fade from the recollection of his many friends, who were as numerous as his acquaintance was general.

The funeral took place from the Catholic Church in this village last Tuesday morning.
