Hatch, Lucina Wendall (20 MAR 1830 - 25 DEC 1881)

Died, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Dec. 25, 1881, Lucina Wendall Hatch, wife of E.R. Hatch, after a long and painful illness, aged 51 years, 9 months, and 5 days.

The deceased has been an invalid requiring constant care and attention for the past five months, during which time she has bore her suffering with Christian resignations. She was a lady of unusual worth, and her uniform kindness, to all, being every ready to extend a helping hand to the needy or distressed, won for her the friendship and love of all. She leaves a devoted husband and several children to mourn her loss, while the entire community feels that in her death they have been deprived of a true and faithful friend. Her funeral took place from the M.E. Church Tuesday, and was largely attended by those who mourn with the loved one whose home has been made desolate.
