Ziegler, Marvin W. (11 NOV 1915 - 28 SEP 1985)

Marvin W. Ziegler, 69, Route 1, Willard, Clark County, died at 9:20 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 1985 at Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, with the Rev. Ralph O. Stuebs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Scott and Todd Shirley, David, Steven, Donald, and Tim Ziegler. Karen Hoppa was the organist.

He was born Nov. 11, 1915 in the Town of Sief, to Edward and Ida (Ratsch) Ziegler and attended the Wildwood School in the town of Seif. He was married on feb. 18, 1939, in the town of Weston to the former Marian Raine. They farmed in the town of Seif until his retirement in 1976. He also was a member of the Wildwood Worchel School Board for many years and served on the Immanuel Lutheran Church Council for many years. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Pete (Sandra) Shirley, Willard, and Mrs. Bruce (Debra) Eskildsen, the Woodlands, Tex. three sons, Ronald and Wendell, both of Neillsville and Kim, Willard one sister, Mrs. Forest (Dorothy) Klueckmann, Neillsville a brother, Louis Ziegler, Willard two grandchildren, Mark and Jason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Art, a sister, Erna, and grandchildren, Mark and Jason.

Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
