NEALE CARTERON


Neale Raymond Carteron, 74, Escondido, Cal., died Monday, March 18, 1996, following the complication of a stroke. Memorial services were held on Friday, March 22, 1996, in Escondido, Cal. He was born on Feb. 11, 1922, in Greenwood, Clark County, to Olamp and Olive (nee Best) Carteron.


He received his education in Greenwood schools and worked for the John Wuethrich Creamery Co. He joined the U.S. Army in 1942, serving in campaigns in North Africa, Italy, France, Belgium and Germany. He received his discharge in 1945. On May 29, 1945, he married Yvonne Chiesi Maleon in Marseilles, France.


Survivors include his wife, one sister-in-law, Rita Carteron, Greenwood and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents one sister, Una Mae, and three brothers, Vivian, Lester and Eugene.
