Dutzler, John J. (27 MAY 1902 - 9 APR 1985)


John J. Dutzler, 82, Rt. 2, Loyal, Clark County, died April 9, 1985 at 10:45 a.m. at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church. Burial was in st. Mary's Cemetery at Fremont Center, Ill. Rev. Andrew Bofenkamp performed the ceremony. Pallbearers were Arnie Wirtz, Ken Wirtz, Franklin Walters, John Weyer, Lawrence Weyer, and Elwood Schiller.

Mr. Dutzler was born May 27, 1902 in Round Lake, Ill. to Vitus and Mary (nee Lenzen) Dutzler. He received his education at the Fremont Center School. On April 15, 1936 he married Margaret Wirtz in St. Mary's Church in Fremont Center. After his marriage he farmed four years in Fremont Center, then worked for Libertyville High School for four years. He then worked at Grande Cleaners in Illinois for five years. The last 16 years he worked for Lake County Highway dept. The past 5 years he was living with his son in the Town of Loyal.

He is survived by one son, Ed Dutzler, Loyal two brothers, Al Dutzler, Grays Lake, Ill., Joe Dutzler, Grays Lake, Ill. two sisters, Mrs. Cecilia O'Benauf and Miss Julia Dutzler, both of Grays Lake, Ill.

He is preceded in death by his wife, one brother, Leonard Dutzler and one sister, Clara Baiar.

Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
